Blessed be the Name of the Lord.
Have you ever taken the time to study the names of The Lord God, and what they mean and are to us who believe in His Name and the Power there in?
Throughout the bible we see the calling of the name of the Lord. The profits of old and as we are directed to in the New Testament to call on the name of the Lord to be saved; Acts. 2: 21And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
But have you ever really looked deep in to scripture and read what the names of God mean?
O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is your name in all the earth!…….. who hast set thy glory above the heavens. Psalm 8:1
I must say after studying; when I say His name it latterly places joy in my heart, just the mention of His names.
Or when something comes up I call on His Name, The name that brings peace and rest in that situation.
El Shaddai (Lord God Almighty)
El Elyon (The Most High God)
Adonai (Lord Master)
Yahweh (Lord Jehovah)
Jehovah Nissi (The Lord My Banner)
Jehovah-Raah (The Lord My Shepherd)
Jehovah Rapha (The Lord That Heals)
Jehovah Shammah (The Lord Is There)
Jehovah Tsidkenu (The Lord Our Righteousness)
Jehovah Mekoddishkem (The Lord Who Sanctifies You)
El Olam (The EverlastingGod)
Elohim (God)
Qanna (Jealous)
Jehovah Jireh (The Lord Will Provide)
Jehovah Shalom (The Lord Is Peace)
Jehovah Sabaoth (The Lord of Hosts)
Read and study His Names, and as the Lord leads we will together apply oneself to the acquisition of knowledge, think deeply, reflect, consider just some of what God is and has for His family.
