True Friend in God
One morning, I asked God this question….How, I could be His friend?
Who am I? That You are even mindful of me?
We went over some scripture in;
John 15:15 Jesus calls us friends I could go with that but, I wanted to know of my friendship with God? So I read more scriptures.
(I know if you are looking for answers, it is always in The Word of God.)
It was in reading He showed me, God didn’t create us to Lord over us but to have fellowship with Him. We are called to fear Him (respect) Him that is the beginning of wisdom and to be His friend because He is everything to us. He is our all in all. To the flesh that would seem as a direct opposite, how could I ever measure up? But to God it is perfect balance.
When we believe, we then have this through the Blood, the Death and Resurrection of Jesus.
The enemy would want us to keep our mind on the death how Jesus died for our sins, (and He did) and what sinners we are. But GLORY to GOD we have the Resurrection the victory and IN CHRIST we are made the Righteousness of God through Christ Jesus. For apart from Jesus we can do nothing but we that are In Christ we can do all things through Christ Jesus. And it is Jesus that makes us to be the Righteousness of God through Him, through Christ Jesus’s Death and Resurrection; we can be called a Friend of God’s.
Romans 3:22
This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile
1 Corinthians 1:30
It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.
James 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
So Yes I am a Friend of God!
