In Jeremiah 33 God talks of his covenant to His people. God’s covenant is eternal his promises are sure. In the midst of all God has done the people have turned from God in disobedient. Yet we see God’s love and faithfulness.
The words “Call unto me and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
We have all God’s promise and blessing of restoration in the midst of all of those promises in verse 11 we see our blessed Jesus the eternal priesthood God’s promise to David’s throne and eternal kingship over his kingdom, eternal priesthood.
This is our Jesus we have him now he is alive today. Every one of these promises, if you are in Christ we have them now. Yet it appears that believers say “wait one of these days” but we have this promise now Jesus came he shed his blood and we believers are in Him we are his people. We are a holy nation we are God’s chosen people.
Yes we have many trials and tribulations that come on us and some are self-inflicted do to ignorance on our part , but God is faithful always faithful always pulling us out bringing health and cure an abundance of peace and truth if we seek him.
When we read scripture Old Testament New Testament look for Jesus in every word he is there. He is alive, he always was and always will be and now we have the manifestation of our precious Savior when he came in the flesh.
But why do we sit and wait? We can have victory over coming victory every day in our life. We have the power to pray for our country. To bring our petitions and prayers directly into the throne room. Yet some waste time bellyaching and complaining but really doing nothing.
Is it easy?…… I think not, but he has promised that he would never leave us or for sake us. That he is our help in time of need. That we can boldly go into the throne room of grace and find mercy and grace in time of need, in time of need! Could that be now?
God covenant with the sun, moon, and the stars that regulate day and night, that never change. That are sure to be there. Well neither will his word his covenant his promises to his people that he will do what he says. Get a firm understanding in your heart of God’s faithfulness and trust him.
Look around and praise God continually in the midst of our circumstances praise him not for them but in them for he will never ever desert you.
Read his word seek him out find him in every place because he is there.
When the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah and even Paul it mentions at times that they were in prison, they were obviously not the best of circumstances yet they were able to rise above where they were and enter into God’s presence. So no matter where you are God is there. God will meet you where you are. He will always be there for you.
We sing about show me your glory……. I say look around and see it, seek out his glory because it is all around us. His beauty his grace his love his help his forgiveness is mercy his presence.
2 Chronicles 7: 14-16
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.
For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there forever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
Jeremiah 33:11
The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the Lord of hosts: for the Lord is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the Lord.
